About
Originating from a family of medical doctors, Dr. Truong was drawn to a career in medicine. Having a father who is a pediatrician, Dr. Truong was inspired to pursue pediatrics as well. Board certified in pediatrics, he chose the field of Pediatric Medicine due to his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. His primary focus is educating patients and their families about their health to provide the highest quality of care. The main source of satisfaction in his acclaimed career is the trust that is placed upon him by the patients' families to give their children the best care possible.
Outside of his medical practice, he has spent time abroad serving on medical missions in underserved areas and orphanages in Mexico and Haiti.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Truong enjoys spending time with his family and is a running enthusiast. He has participated in several marathons including the famed Boston Marathon as part of a cancer research fundraising campaign.
As one of the leading physicians in Orange County, Dr. Truong has been honored on numerous occasions as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association. The Guide to America's Top Pediatricians by the Consumers' Research Council of America has selected Dr. Truong multiple times to their consumer guide.

He’s so nice, always willing to listen to us, answer all our questions, so attentive, we never feel rushed, and he always explains everything to us instead of just saying ‘do this’ or ‘don’t do that’. He’s also so so good with our baby! Happy and fun and enthusiastic so our baby doesn’t just cry while he’s examining him. He talks to our baby and always remembers his name. We needed a specialist referral and we went back in a month or two later for a completely different reason and he asked all about our visit with the specialist and genuinely was interested to know how our baby was doing. We love Dr. T. He is always so helpful and willing to answer questions. The only thing is that because he spends so much time he can get behind. It is no uncommon for us to wait 20 or 30 minutes. I don’t want him to go faster but I wish they would just schedule his appointment farther apart.

What good does an appointment do when you bring us back 30 minutes after we arrive and 20 minutes after our appointment time. Then the Dr says he’s going to send the rx in immediately so I drive straight to the pharmacy to pick it up. The pharmacy looks at me bewildered saying they have no rx for my daughter. So I call. After 10 minutes of a phone tree I finally get a “patient navigator” which I’m certain doesn’t work in Dr T’s office. She puts me on hold for a while only to tell me that everyone in his office has gone home. So my trip to the pharmacy was a waste of time and who knows when my daughter will actually get to start the antibiotics.
