Caring is Our Calling, and Doing Good is Our Commitment. Healthcare for Good.
Health care is personal. It touches our families, our futures and the moments that matter most. At MemorialCare, we care for people across Southern California with compassion, expertise and a deep commitment to doing what’s right—for every person, every time.
As a nonprofit, integrated health care system, MemorialCare’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We meet people where they are—across every stage of life—by combining high-quality medical care with genuine human connection. Our purpose is simple: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who trust us with their care, today and for generations to come.
Our Brand Promise
MemorialCare is dedicated to the pursuit of best practice medicine. Our physicians and care teams continuously study the most effective treatments and work together to implement them across all locations. As a result, MemorialCare’s outcomes frequently exceed state and national averages. Through exceptional care—from preventive services to complex treatments—and strong partnerships, we offer patients and families a superior choice for health care services they can trust.
Who We Serve — Rooted in Our Communities
MemorialCare serves individuals, families, and communities across Orange and Los Angeles counties with care that is connected, coordinated, and centered on each person’s needs. With more than 200 care locations and 24/7 virtual options, we make it easier for patients to access high-quality, trusted care when and how it works best for them.
Our integrated nonprofit health system includes four leading hospitals—Long Beach Medical Center, Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, Orange Coast Medical Center, and Saddleback Medical Center—along with medical groups and outpatient sites throughout the region. Across every setting, physicians, nurses, and caregivers work as one team, delivering seamless care, clearer communication, and better outcomes close to home.
Guided by the communities we serve, our commitment extends beyond clinical care. That commitment began in 1907 with the founding of a hospital that would later become Long Beach Medical Center and evolved with the formation of MemorialCare as an integrated nonprofit health system in 1997. Today, through community partnerships, outreach programs and targeted initiatives, we address critical needs such as food insecurity, housing stability, mental health and access to preventive care—ensuring our impact reaches far beyond our walls.
What Sets MemorialCare Apart
What makes MemorialCare different isn’t just what we do—it’s how we do it. Our integrated approach brings together people, expertise, and purpose to deliver care that is both clinically excellent and deeply personal.
- Expertise — Experience That Matters
Behind every visit is the strength of experienced providers working together—so patients can feel confident at every step of their care. MemorialCare’s integrated model connects primary care, specialists, and hospital teams to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care across Southern California.
Our teams include nationally recognized specialists across cancer, heart, orthopedics, neurosciences, and women’s health, supported by trusted primary care groups that have served generations of families. Multidisciplinary collaboration ensures care plans are thoughtful, connected and focused on what matters most to each patient.
- Quality — Focused on Better Outcomes
Quality is built into everything we do. Through rigorous standards, system-wide coordination, and transparent measurement, MemorialCare delivers safer, more effective care across every setting.
Coordinated care teams reduce complications and support recovery, while evidence-based protocols guide care consistently across hospitals and outpatient locations. Our performance is measured against top state and national benchmarks—and frequently exceeds them—reflecting our commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
- Advancing Care Through Innovation
At MemorialCare, innovation means giving you access to exceptional care—without leaving the region. We invest in advanced technologies, research, and clinical breakthroughs that help improve outcomes and expand treatment options for our patients.
