Torrey B Halbert, DO

Even at the young age of three, Torrey Halbert, DO knew she wanted to be a doctor. “I didn’t have any family members in medicine,” she says. “But this passion only grew stronger over time. I told my parents about my dream, which crystalized during the five medical mission trips I took before I entered medical school.”

Those early experiences are what inspired Dr. Halbert to choose Obstetrics & Gynecology. “I am deeply committed to the well-being of my patients and take great satisfaction in being a part of the most meaningful moments in their lives,” she notes. “I enjoy solving complex cases and helping women meet their reproductive goals.” During her residency, Dr. Halbert focused her interests in mental health and social justice in a research project on postpartum depression and sought out opportunities to serve vulnerable women in accessing reproductive care. 

In addition to her specialization in OB/GYN, Dr. Halbert also has training in managing mental health disorders, substance use, high risk pregnancies, hormone replacement therapy, pelvic floor prolapse, PCOS, and infertility. She has expertise in robotic-assisted gynecologic procedures such as hysterectomy, removing fibroids, and treating endometriosis, and in laparoscopic procedures such as tubal ligation and removing ovarian cysts. She recently earned the “Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery Resident” award from the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction novels, traveling internationally with her family, going on walks with her labradoodle and exploring local cuisines.
