About

Lauren Sylwester studied at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing to become a certified nurse midwife. Lauren decided to become a certified nurse midwife because she wanted to work closely with women in managing their health throughout their life. She enjoys forming relationships with her patients, supporting them in every stage of their life, and empowering them to make the best decisions they can for their health and pregnancies. Her mom, who passed away in 2011, is the biggest influence on her career.

My mom taught me how amazing women are and the importance to support and care for each other. I want to empower other women the same way my mom empowered me.

Super friendly and attentive. She was factual without leading either way. She made me feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable setting. She explained what was happening and answered all questions.
