Eric Bekemeier, DO, studied osteopathic medicine at Touro University in San Francisco and went on to complete his residency in family medicine at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center/UCLA in Pomona. His passion for medicine was sparked by a lifelong fascination with biology and nutrition. In his role as a physician, he finds great fulfillment in problem-solving and connecting with his patients.
Dr. Bekemeier grew up in Detroit, Michican and is fluent in German. Outside of medicine, his interests include football, rowing, and participating in triathlons. Additionally, he's an ardent Star Wars fan.

Got in and out really quickly, but I would be willing to wait for a doctor that really knows his stuff. Dr Bekemeier is that doctor. There have been so many weird interactions I've had with previous doctors and he validated those concerns. Also a doctor that's willing to discuss things quickly and push back on concerns I have with solid practices and easy to understand analogies. A doctor that's more interested in keeping me healthy than keeping me medicated.

When she walked me into the room, she was so very kind and written on the sheet that goes over the table or wherever you lay it said welcome Nanette and I had been having just kind of Tough morning so when I saw that it just made me smile and she made me smile. For an annual review, mostly piggybacking on my former nurse practitioners actions. The "new" system is not his fault, but managements actions. All he did was listen to my heart and examine my prior history. Personable and relatable, and trying hard not to undermine my prior relationships.

Dr. Bekemeier is a no fuss doctor. You either like him or you don’t. He’s straightforward, to the point, and quick to answer any questions you have. He’s also very responsive on responding to messages on MyChart.

Rushed and uncertain of next stepsDr. Bekemeier needs to get some training or quit since he obviously does not enjoy his job. He rushed my mother, seemed annoyed at our questions, and was condescending.

Bad experienceI went to see this dr because my pcp was out of the office and I needed to see someone asap to adjust diabetic medication, worst mistake of my life , he is condescending,rude. Told me I wasn't doing enough by excersicing and eating well that it was time to starve myself since I need to get my sugar down. Made me feel horrible ,when you go to the doctor he's supposed to make you feel better not worse . Never going back to that guy .
