About
Chloe Su, MD, chose a career in medicine after watching her own father practice medicine and the remarkable, lasting impact he has in the lives of so many people. She specifically chose family medicine after experiencing the exciting array of pathologies and witnessing the long-standing relationships that primary care physicians form with their patients. Dr. Su completed her medical education at Loma Linda University in 2018 and went on to complete her residency at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills in 2021. Not only did Dr. Su complete all her education and training in Orange County, California but she was also born and raised here as well.
When asked what gives Dr. Su the most satisfaction in working with patients she said:
It’s very satisfying when my patients are happy and smiling! I love walking into a patient room and being greeted by someone with a smile and a story to share. When I can help my patients feel better about themselves or give them hope and direction when they have been facing something difficult - be it a medical condition or otherwise - that is when I feel most gratified.
She wants her patients to know she is always striving to do her very best. Dr. Su also wants her patients to feel that they have a say in the care they receive and the decisions they make regarding their health, rather than it being a one-sided conversation.
Outside of medicine, she loves traveling, drawing, and singing along to her favorite jams in the car while sitting in traffic, and a good round of board games around the table with friends. Though she does not consider herself a marathon runner, Dr. Su does enjoy jogging by the beach.

I cannot believe my dumb luck to have found Dr. Su. Seriously, she is the absolute best. She is super attentive. Like, she actually listens and hears what you say. No matter how busy she is, she makes me feel like I am her top priority when I see her for an appointment. She explains everything clearly, she answers all my questions, she never dismisses any of my concerns, she doesn't judge, she is never condescending..... I could go on and on. My only complaint is that she is so fantastic and popular that she is booked for months!! But get this. I tried to make an appointment (it's August now), and the first availability was in December. I messaged her on the MyChart app about it and in a couple of days, she either squeezed me or had a cancellation, but she got me in to see her!! She didn't want me to wait in pain. Ugh.... You never know what someone is experiencing when they walk through the door. You rarely experience that from the first encounter to the last. I applaud each one of them for their kindness, professionalism and courtesy. You can definitely tell they either love what they do or just kind and compassionate people. 1. Allowed me all the time I wanted/needed to answer my questions/concerns. She and I talked for a FUL HOUR!2. Decided on a game plan that demonstrated her competency with regard to my medications. 3. Promised to speak with her Medical Assistant, and nursing staff with regards to understanding extreme difficulties patients face daily, and in dealing with patients, caringly, empathetically, helpfully, and with a level of understanding all the hurtles metastatic cancer survivors face constantly, and for many years. 4. Explained the problems, limitations, inefficiencies and lack of staffing for the My Chart programming. 5. Demonstrated a substantial amount of knowledge about Magnesium and Potassium, factors that can result in low levels appearing in bloodwork, and how they can present themselves in our bodies.

I saw Dr. Su for about 5 years. I was happy to have a young doctor at first, because I figured she'd be more aware of new therapies/medicines/etc. What I found was that while she is a lovely person, she wasn't great at follow through or communication. I had to reach out repeatedly to get prescription refills or for her to look at lab work. She once set me up for an at home procedure that was more complicated than the standard process and her nurse didn't do the paperwork properly so my insurance got messed up, causing me to have to spend a lot of back and forth time making phone calls and filling out forms. I would not recommend Dr. Su if you're older than 40.
