Becoming a physician fulfills my life-long desire for a career that allows me to assist people in making positive changes in their lives.
Originally from the European country of Serbia, Dr. Appleby moved to the United States to complete her medical education and training through a three-year residency program at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Appleby chose internal medicine because of the patient-centered aspect of the specialty and the opportunity it gives her to create long-term relationships with her patients. She believes it embodies the very core of medicine and demands an intimate understanding of the broad medical spectrum.
Outside of the office, Dr. Appleby loves spending time with her family. Her other interests include playing sports, traveling, music and the arts.

I was given an appointment to see Dr. Evelina Appleby in 3 months. When my appointment was coming up in a few days, someone at the office called to tell me Dr. Appleby was no longer accepting new patients. I asked if that was the office decision or the Dr's. I was told it was the Dr's decision. I was very confused and upset at the same time. Was not given an explanation as to why it took her so long for all of a sudden for her to make that decision. It is very rude and unkind to do that to patients. I was looking forward to seeing her because of my health issues that needed immediate attention. This is the second time this has happened to me at Memorial Care. Something is not right.
