About

Gerard Francisco, PA is a physician associate with 17 years in cardiothoracic surgery. “I chose medicine because I grew up in a family of health care professionals,” he explains.

“I was inspired to pursue a career where I could help people and make meaningful difference in their lives. I was fascinated by the cardiac anatomy. Cardiac surgery is appealing to me because of the ability to make a real and immediate impact on patient’ lives.”

Gerard was born in the Philippines and came to the United States when he was 14 years old. He speaks English, Tagalog and some Spanish. “It is very rewarding to see patients recover and return to their normal lives,” he says. “I want my patients to know that I truly care about their well-being and am committed to providing the best possible care for them.”

Outside of medicine, Gerard enjoys traveling and exploring new places. “It gives me a chance to experience different cultures and meet new people,” he says. I’m also an animal lover and enjoy spending time with pets whenever I can, watching sunsets and taking time to relax and reflect after a busy day.”
