About
Priyal Dholakiya, M.D., attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego. She went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Davis, and her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Spanish.
Dr. Dholakiya chose a career in gynecologic oncology because it combined her passion for women’s health with her love of surgery. In addition, her father has had a profound influence on her career, as he is very skilled and detail-oriented, and simultaneously ever-focused on “the big picture.” As a surgeon and an oncologist, Dr. Dholakiya strives to do the same every day.
Dr. Dholakiya finds fulfillment through empowering her patients to make informed decisions about their cancer care and forming long-term relationships with her patients and their families.
Dr. Dholakiya was born and raised in Southern California. Outside of medicine, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, and traveling.
I want my patients to know that I am honest and care deeply for their wellbeing. I consider the doctor-patient relationship to be a two-way street. I do my best to listen, educate, and empower my patients to make decisions. It is an honor and a privilege to guide women and their families through their cancer journeys.
