The 26th Annual Team Spirit 5K Walk benefits the MemorialCare Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center by supporting psychosocial support programs and services for adult cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Event proceeds help fund the Institute’s supportive services, which serve approximately 78,000 patient visits each year. Services and programs include:
- Peer mentors
- Support groups for a variety of age groups and cancer types
- Mind-body oncology coaching
- Yoga and Pilates classes
- Creative writing and art workshops
- Weekly walking group

Because of your support through Team Spirit, these services are offered free of charge to anyone in the community regardless of where they’re receiving treatment.
