About
Allen Jahroumi, M.D. is a southern California native. He was born in Torrance and his family lived in La Habra before settling in Mission Viejo. Young Allen was unsure what he wanted to be when he grew up and says “I never knew I wanted to be a physician in college. I didn't know what I wanted to do but I wanted a career that was challenging and not mundane. I discovered that medicine would be challenging mentally and academically. And what better specialty could there be than Family Medicine? In a given day I can help treat someone’s anxiety, help control one's diabetes and do a joint aspiration on a patient. What other specialty can say that?”
Dr. Jahroumi says he gets the most fulfillment from his practice when developing long lasting relationships and seeing patients reach their health goals.
“I respect my patients’ opinions on matters that have to do with their health and wellness, I put a lot of thought into each individual’s treatment plan. I approach each one as if I was treating a friend or family member.”

Dr. Jahroumi is Board certified in family medicine.
When he is not creating treatment plans or caring for his patients, Dr. Jahroumi enjoys running. “I do it every day for my mental health,” he says. And it seems his love of challenges has been passed on to his kids. “My three children are involved in multiple extracurricular activities, and I enjoy supporting them with all their endeavors.”

Recently I had a strange experience with my ankle, there was swelling and the ER said it was a sprain , I sent Dr Jahroumi a photo of the ankle. I sent this photo to his cell phone on a weekend, yes he answers and he told me to go back to hospital immediately. I had a staph infection from the metal plate put in my ankle 4 years ago due to a break in the ankle. I almost lost my foot had he not convinced me to go now!! He listens and treats his patients with respect, kindness & knowledge.

It is very rare to find a doctor that has a vested personal interest in both your mental and physical health. Dr J is that doctor. Over the last 10 years we have followed him to 3 different practices. If he moves to New York, he will still be my doctor. It will just require airfare to see him which I would 100% do. He is, without question, the most professional, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough primary care physician I have ever come across. Beside my own stories about him, my wife's exemplifies exactly how good he is. Just after Thanksgiving in 2020, my wife ruptured 3 disks in her back trying to teach our son how to do a 360 on a skateboard (I'm positive she never could actually do one). Remember, this is the during the insanity of the 2020 lock downs and surgeries being pushed off for 6 months to a year. By calling in a personal favor to one of the best spine surgeons in the country, she had her spinal fusion on New Years Day less than 3 weeks later with a surgeon who's schedule was booked out for almost 9 months. THAT is the kind of doctor Dr Jahroumi (Dr J to us) is. I cannot recommend him enough and I have personally recommended him to at least a dozen of our friends.

Truth be told I will never go to another doctor as long as Dr J is in practice. He has helped me both mentally and physically for the last nine years in ways I can’t even describe.
