The Micra™, which is approximately the size of a multivitamin, is the world’s smallest pacemaker that provides patients with the most advanced pacing technology. This leadless device is a safe alternative to traditional pacemakers without the associated risks with leads (wires) such as infections or fractures over time. The Micra™ Transcatheter Pacing System is inserted through a small incision in the groin with a catheter and placed in heart to regulate heart beats through electric signals.
