Marcia Manker, CEO of MemorialCare’s Orange Coast Medical Center and Saddleback Medical Center, has been recognized as one of the 2024 Women Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know by Hospital Review. This recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions to healthcare leadership and her relentless dedication to quality of care.

Under Manker’s visionary leadership, Orange Coast Medical Center and Saddleback Medical Center have developed several centers of excellence, including the MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute, MemorialCare Cancer Institute, and MemorialCare Breast Center. Her collaborative approach, partnering with physicians, nurses, and clinical and support staff, has helped these hospitals earn the distinction of being named on the Best Hospitals in Orange County list by readers of the Orange County Register.

“Marcia’s visionary leadership and dedication to excellence have transformed healthcare in Orange County for the better,” said Barry Arbuckle, President and CEO of MemorialCare. “Her commitment to women’s health and fostering innovation inspires us all. We are incredibly proud and fortunate to have her as a part of our organization.”

As an advocate for women's health, Manker recently led the development of the Women’s Health Pavilion at Saddleback Medical Center, set to open its final phase in Fall 2024. This new location is the home of Southern California’s largest Breast Center, offering comprehensive breast surgical oncology, OB/GYN services, and specialized care to women in the community.

Manker's achievements extend beyond patient care. Under her leadership, both MemorialCare Orange County hospitals have earned the prestigious Magnet designation for nursing excellence. Additionally, each of the hospitals have been recognized as Top Workplaces through independent surveys of hundreds of Orange County businesses.

Manker also has been honored as Woman of the Year by California State Assembly member Diane Dixon, Soroptimist International, and as Business Leader of the Year by the Orange County Vietnamese American Lions Club. She actively contributes to the academic community, serving on the University of California, Irvine Executive Leadership Council, the Paul Merage School of Business Advisory Board, and the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy Advisory Board.

Becker's recognition of Manker among the other 195 inspiring women leaders in healthcare underscores her dedication to improving healthcare delivery, promoting care access, and supporting equity and diversity in the medical field. We are proud to celebrate Marcia Manker's outstanding achievements and look forward to her continued impact on healthcare excellence in Orange County and beyond.
